Euro B will be decided by the round three game between Serbia and Netherlands which takes place tomorrow (Saturday) at the FK Zenum Stadium in Belgrade (kick off 2pm, local time).

With two close games already played, which saw Serbia lose to Ukraine and Ukraine then beaten by Netherlands, the title race is wide open.

Netherlands will be crowned champions if they win or draw, while Serbia must win by 27 points or more to take the title. A Serbia win by a margin of 26 points or fewer will see Ukraine crowned champions, with an exact 26 point margin seeing tie-break rules come into play, with head-to-head record determining the higher finisher, which would be Ukraine.

Serbia will avoid relegation if they beat Netherlands by 11 points or more but anything less, or a Netherlands win or draw, will see the hosts relegated.

Serbia have shuffled their line up with Andrej Mora, Bosko Todorovic, Marko Jankovic and Mateja Nedeljkovic left out of head coach Darren Fisher’s 19-man squad, with Ennis Bibic, Luka Milicevic and Stefan Arsic coming into contention.

“We know it’s going to be a tough game against the Netherlands, but we’ll give it everything we’ve got,” said Fisher. “First and foremost, we need to get the win and then hopefully we can build a big enough points difference to give ourselves a chance of finishing first or second in the group. We’re expecting a really competitive match, and the boys are ready for the challenge.”

Netherlands are unchanged after their win on Wednesday. Head coach, Jason Havenaar, commented: “With the Ukraine match behind us, we’ve turned our sights to Serbia and a push for the championship. The team has identified the areas of our game we need to improve, and we’re confident of a strong showing.

“We know this match will come down to heart and determination more than anything. Serbia have had time to build on their first game and will be looking to make amends, so we will need to be ready for anything.”
