Ukraine are looking to clinch the Euro B title for the first time when they face Netherlands at the FK Zenum Stadium, Belgrade tomorrow (Wednesday) in the second game of the tournament (kick off 2pm, local time).

Dan Beardshaw’s side beat hosts Serbia 30-14 in the opening clash and a follow up victory will also leave Serbia and Netherlands to do battle to avoid relegation in Saturday’s final round.

The Ukraine head coach makes one change to his 19-player squad, with Oleksandr Shcherbyna making way for Valerii Popeliuk.

“I was really pleased for the players after our win against Serbia,” Beardshaw said. “They’ve worked incredibly hard, and it was great to see them enjoy that moment together. But our challenge now is to back it up against the Netherlands.

“We know there are areas we need to improve and I’ve challenged the boys to take another step forward. Hopefully, we can give everyone back home another reason to smile.”

Netherlands could hand debuts to Daniel Niumata, brothers Blake, Mitchell and Ryan Barbuto, Phil Derksen and Ryan Keating.

Oranje men’s head coach, Jason Havenaar, commented:  “It's been great to see the squad grow and develop during our camp and we're really looking forward to a strong showing in the Euro B. Both Ukraine and Serbia showed in the opening match they're tough, physical teams and embrace that challenge.

“Our debutants are all looking forward to representing the Lions for the first time and the veterans have been working hard on getting them up to speed.”
